IVGID will be holding a Community Services Master Plan meeting on Wednesday, 11/30 from 5:30 to 7:30 at the Chateau. On the agenda is a discussion of building a cross country ski lodge and multi-use venue at the Incline Meadows property. The more people who show up with enthusiasm, the more likely our vision of an all-winter cross country ski area benefitting the greater Incline Village, North Lake Tahoe, and northern Nevada community will become a reality.

Why establish a XC ski area at Incline Meadows?
A cross country ski area will:
- 1) Contribute to the economic vitality of Incline Village and the Lake Tahoe Basin,
- 2) Provide year-round recreation opportunities for residents and visitors
- 3) Serve as a forum for youth engagement
- 4) Offer groomed tracks for cross country skiing in even dry/drought years
Why is the Incline Meadows property the best area to establish a cross country ski area?
It is at high altitude with snow lasting extra days, weeks, months, compared to lower elevation areas. It is also conveniently located for Incline Village area residents and visitors. There are no other facilities within at least a 30 minute driving distance. IVGID already owns the land, so it does not cost the community to purchase the terrain.

List the benefits important to you such as the need for: groomed xc ski trails near Incline Village; a xc ski venue with consistent snow, even in drought years; and a secure venue with monitoring and emergency response capacity.
